PLEASE CAN YOU EXPLAIN HOW HYDROELECTRICITY IS GENERATED ?

Water flowing through river is stored in High elevations by building dams. The stored water has potential energy. This water flows downward through large pipes or tunnels. The falling water rotates turbines, which drives the generator, and the generator converts the mechanical energy of turbine into electricity.
