Please experts answer my question fast:
Does democracy allow media censorship?
please give a detailed answer.

Dear Student

The residents of a democratic country enjoy freedom of speech and expression . This is considered to be a fundamental right . But in certain cases there are restrictions . If it hurts the morale of the society , is objectionable or is against the dignity of some person or the nation media censorship may be done . Suppose internet is selling rampant sexually explicit videos to children . The government may step in and call for a censorship . Or suppose a speech harms a citizen's modesty or humiliating , or sometimes some expression may be against the national defence . The country has the full authority to intervene and take action . Such articles , videos , public speechs may be debarred from being publicized . Democracy means that a person can freely talk or express his/her views but it does not imply that a person can exploit these rights and do something unsocial .

Regards .
