Please explain in simple words

Experiment 1:
Stretch a string by holding one end in mouth between the teeth and the other end in one hand. Pluck it by the other hand near the middle.
It is noticed that the string starts vibrating and simultaneously a sound is heard. After some time when the string stops vibrating, no sound is heard.
Experiment 2:
Take a thin wife and stretch it between the two nails about a meter apart. Place a small but if paper as rider near the middle of the wire and pluck the wire near the rider.
It is observed that the rider flies off as the wire starts vibrating and a sound is heard. After some time, when the wire stops vibrating, when the paper rider placed on the wire, does not fly of and no sound will be heard.
See there are lots of experiment which you see in your daily life..
I will give you some example and you will automatically understand what the concept is behind it.
Examples : Bell in your school, We strike plate with the help of spoon during puja,etc.
One of my favourite experiment is of school bell.(Because I use to strike it during the periods with my friends)
So go take the Hammer and strike it on the bell.
You will observe that the bell will vibrate and to feel that keep your hands on it. Second observation will be the sound(which makes everyone curious that period is going to over).
Result: Vibrating objects produces sound.
