Planning means setting objectives and targets. And in planning ' what is to done ' and 'how is to be done' both are decided. It means objectives and targets both are decided and action plans how to achieve that objective is also determined in planning.
And a plan should be made for a fixed time period that is for 1 year or 6 months etc. And if it is not determined that for how much time plan is set up , business environment will change and all business plans will have no use. Plan should be determined for a accurate tie period, it should not be very long period and not for very short period. And planning will not have any impact if it is not acted upon.
