Please Explain me the past, present and future types of verb form.

Tenses express distinction of time. They denote whether the action occurred in the past, present or future.

The simple form of the verb describes actions that take place once, never or several times. It can describe events taking place one after another or it can state facts or universal truths. For example: The Sun sets in the West.

The continuous form of the verb describes actions going on at that time, or actions happening at the same time. For example: He was working and she was sleeping.

The perfect forms of the verb describe actions that took place before a certain moment in time. The emphasis is on the result. For example: Narendra Modi has won the election.

The perfect continuous form of the verb describes actions that take were taking place before a moment in time. The emphasis is on the duration. For example: She has been learning dance for five years.
