Dear student Equity cult is the term used for behaviour of investors in the market. When one stock attracts heavy following even if it gives low return, the stock is called "cult stock". Similarly, when the investing pattern doesn't follow logical risk-benefit trend , its called equity cult. And An equity security represents ownership interest held by shareholders in an entity.
