Dear XYZ,

I hope you are well. We haven't talked for last six months. I recently read the news about drought that has affected Maharashtra and it reminded me of you. I pray to god for the safety of your family members. Living in drought prone area is not safe that is why I was worried about you.

I also came to know that our government is taking several  steps to tackle the situation. Our PM has chaired an urgent meeting to review the situation and has also said that he would tour the affected areas. Maharashtra water tribunal has been ordered to find out the water needed to  overcome water scarcity and the number of dams and water sources available. The state government has also decided to release water from the upper dams to provide drinking water to different districts.

You should not worry as the situation will soon be under control and things will be normal. Take care.
