Please give me definition of prism and pyramid in simple word

A solid geometric figure whose two ends are similar,equal and parallel rectilinear figures and whose sides are parallelograms.
It is a polyhedron,with two parallel faces called bases.The prism is named by the shape of its base.
For example, Triangular prism etc,.,
A pyramid is a structure whose outer surfaces are triangular and converge to a single step at the top.
It is a polyhedron formed by connecting a polygonal base and a point called the apex.Each base edge and apex form a triangle called a lateral face.
All pyramids are self dual.
