Please help me to solve Q 10

Q.10 Why is the discovery of fire regarded as an important event in the life of primitive man? Give eg. to supporting the use of fire.

The discovery of fire is regarded as an important event in the history of early humans because fire enabled humans to cook food. When food is cooked, it enhances its nutritional value as cooked food is easier to digest. This reduced the volume of food that humans required to eat which meant that early humans needed to spend less time looking and hunting for food. This left them more time for other activities like tool making, social interaction or artistic activities like cave painting. Such activities, in turn, were helpful for the intellectual development of humans which accelerated the rate at which human civilization could progress.
