Please...help me to solve the question...I just want step by step solution and calculation n cancellation of final equation.
Dear Student
Mass of stone, m = 1 kg
Mass of Earth, M = 6 × 1024 kg
Now, gravitational force of attraction, F = G M m/R2
Here, R = Radius of earth = 6. 4 × 106 m
G = Gravitational constant = 6.67 × 10-11 N m2/kg2
Put the values in the equation, F = 9.8 N ( simply solving the equation )
(a) Acceleration produced by stone = F/Mass of stone
(as we know that F = ma) We have used this formula
a = 9.8 / 1 ( we have already calculated force and mass of stone is given in question )
a = 9.8 m/s2
(b) Acceleration produced in Earth = F/Mass of Earth ( again we are using F = ma)
a = 9.8/6 × 1024 (solving this)
a = 1.63 × 10-24 m/s2 [when 1024 moved from denominator to numerator, it becomes 10-24]
Hope it us clear now. Please let us know in case you are finding problems with calculations also.
