Please how do we determine the number of ATP molecules produced by the oxidation of myristic acid?

Myristic acid has 14 carbons.
Therefore, number of Acetyl CoA produced = 14/2= 7
We know that Beta-oxidation of Myristic acid gives: 7 Acetyl CoA, 6 NADH2 and 6 FADH2.
(assuming each Acetyl CoA yields 12 ATP, each NADH2 yields 3ATP and each FADH2 yields 2 ATP)
We get:
ATP produced from 7 Acetyl CoA= 7x12 = 84 ATP
ATP produced from 6 NADH2 = 6x3 = 18 ATP
ATP produced from 6 FADH2 = 6x2 = 12 ATP
ATP lost during the conversion of Myristic acid to CoA = 2 ATP
So, total ATP produced = 112
