Please label them.

Dear student

Labelling is as follow:
1. Pairing of chromosome.
2. A homologous pair of chromosome.
3. Synaptonemal complex.
4. Non-sister chromatids of homologous chromosome.
5. Sister chromatids of a chromosome.

Meiosis is of 2 types: Meiosis I and Meiosis II.
Meiosis I has Prophase I as first stage which includes several stages - Leptotene, Zygotene, Pachytene, Diplotene and Diakinesis.
The pairing of chromosomes occurs during zygotene stage. Then formation of synaptonemal complex (a protein complex that holds the homologous pair of chromosomes together) occurs between non sister chromatids of a homologous pair. The synaptonemal complex facilitates crossing over between non sister chromatids of a homologous pair of chromosomes.
