Dear Student,
Animal testing is also known as animal experimentation. Different drugs and  chemicals are tested on animals to note their results, reactions, effectiveness etc. before they can be made available to human beings.
The testing of medicines and perfumes on animals should be banned because :-
  1. The animals such as rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits etc are used as laboratory animals. However, these results may vary for human beings.
  2. Moreover it is a cruel, inhuman practice. Other alternatives can be used for the same. These tests cause a lot of pain and harm to the animals. They may cause genetic disorders to the entire breed.
  3. Since animals are very different from human beings, animal tests may mislead researchers into ignoring potential cures and treatment.
  4. Some chemicals that are harmful to animals prove valuable when used by humans, e.g. Asprin, 95% of animals used in experiments are not protected by AWA (Animal Welfare Act) .
  5. These animals are especially vulnerable to mistreatment and abuse without the protection of the AWA.
Regards.
