How to find the breadth of a rectangle whose length is double of its breadth and perimeter is 720m.

Let the breadth be x

Then length be 2x ( according to the question)

Perimeter of a rectangle= 2(l+b)

By substituting the values,

2(2x+x)=720

2*3x=720

3x= 720/2

3x=360

x=360/3

=120

So Breadth of the rectangle is 120 m

  • -1

Let the breadth be x

Then length is 2x

Perimeter of a rectangle= 2(l+b)

=2(2x+x)=720

4x+2x=720

6x= 720

x=720/6

x=120
