Intelligence isn't something that is an outwork of genes inherited by one. It comes under the human development perspective according to psychology.

It says that when a child is born it goes through various developmental stages throughput his life. And these developmental tasks are highly PLASTIC in natue i.e that skills and abilities can be improved or developed throughout the life span.
