Please someone solve question- 18,21,20....please someone explain this percentage by weight concept and how to solve numericals based upon it.
Dear student,
( 18) As we know that , normality = n x molarrity
For sulphuric acid : normality = 1 /10 x 2 = 1/5 N
for the sodium hydroxide = 1/10 x 1 = 1/10 N
now the number of mili equivalent of acid = 100 x 1/5 = 20 meq.
the number of mili equivalent of base = 500 x 1/10 = 50 meq.
from the above informations it is clear that the resulting solution is basic in nature ,
and the mili equivalent of NaOH left = 30
then the normality of NaOH = 30 / 600 = 1 / 20 N
Option ( 3) is correct.
Kindly ask next question in another thread.
