a) Force of friction is called contact force because it can only act when the surfaces of two bodies are in contact.

b) It's more difficult to walk on a wet floor because it have lower coefficient of friction and therefore provides less frictional force

c) Sportsman use shoes with spikes because when the walk or run the spikes from the shoes dug into ground and provides more frictional force which is required for quick movement of body.

d) Friction is necessary for walking because when you walk you push the ground backwards with your feet and the reaction from the ground in the forward enables you to walk but if the friction is not there you'll not be able to push the ground and there will be no reaction from the ground in the forward direction

because frictional force IS a contact force

because there is less friction between ur shoes and floor, less irregularities-more friction

to increase their grip with the ground

when we walk, we kinda push the ground backwards. in turn friction pushes us forward, adn thus we walk
