 1 2/3 is a improper fraction

NUMERATOR=2 , DENOMINATOR=3 , WHOLE NUMBER=1

TO CONVERT : Multiply the whole number 1 with denominator 3

so, 1 x 3 = 3

now , we should add the numerator to this product.

that is 3 + 2 = 5

now, we should write 5 as numerator with same denominator

therefore 5/3
