Dear Student,

The right answer is option b.

Asthma occurs when the airway becomes narrow, inflamed, filled with mucous that leads to difficulty in breathing. Coughing, wheezing also occurs. Asthma could be caused by allergy.

Emphysema is a condition when the alveolus looses its flexibility and becomes harden. They are damaged, become stretched and instead of many smaller sacs, larger sacs of alveolus form that decreases the surface area for diffusion of gases across the membrane of alveolus. Emphysema causes breathing trouble and is accompanied by recurring bronchitis. In bronchitis, the bronchus is inflamed and affected.

In Pneumonia, the alveolus may become inflamed and get filled with pus, fluid, WBCs or cellular debris.
