pls ans my ques: we know that earthworm respires through the moist skin, can it respire when the skin dries up(no moisture present in the skin)???

Dear student,
The skin of earth worm is moist so that oxygen can easily diffuse inside the cells in earthworm and carbon dioxide can easily be given off the surface. But if the surface becomes dry then no exchange of gases occurs and the earthworm dies.
