Pls explain how as though Cl- has higher electron affinity but F- is more electronegativity and for dipole i think electronegativity should be concerned.
Dear Student
F is more electronegative though its electron affinity is less due to electron electron repulsion as size of F is less so there is electron electron repulsion. But in case of Cl the size is some what higher so there are no electron electron repulsion so their electron affinity is more than that of F.
