Part 2, Chapter 5 of Gulliver's travels talks about further misfortunes that befall Gulliver, owing to his size in the land of Brobdingnag. Since Brobdingnag is the land of giants, everything is magnified in scale there, and Gulliver bears the brunt of it. The queen's dwarf does not like Gulliver, since he was used to enjoying all the attention before Gulliver came along, and hence in vengeance, he tries to harm Gulliver. The dwarf tries to drop apples on Gulliver which almost kill him, the next time Gulliver is stuck in a hailstorm where the hail is almost the size of boulders for him. The ladies of the chamber, or the maids of honour, treat Gulliver like a play thing and they keep undressing him, which is a demeaning behaviour on their end, almost stripping Gulliver of his dignity. Gulliver's encounters with the animals of Brobdingnag also proves to be quite disastrous, as he once gets attacked by a bird, almost drowned by a frog and got carried away by a monkey.
