Statistics are numerical statements of facts in any department of inquiry placed in relation to each other" it indicated the information in numerical terms or in terms of numbers.
numerical values can only be termed as statistics when they are related to any variable.
this can be better understood with the help of the statistic data
here the percentage itself cannot be regarded as statistics unless it is stated that these percentages indicate the qualifying marks for different universities.
the data must be collected for some purpose and it can easily be comparable
