BY ELIMINATION METHOD.....

2x - y = - 3 . . . eq. i
3x - 5y = -1 . . . eq. ii

by multiplying eq i by 3 nd ii by 2...

2x - y = -3 ( × 3 )
3x - 5y = -1 ( × 2 )

subtracting......

6x - 3y = -9
6x - 10y = -2

7y = - 7
---------------------

7y = - 7
y = -7/ 7
y = - 1

by putting the value of y in eq i...

2x - ( -1 ) = - 3
2x + 1 = -3
2x = -3 -1
x = -4/2
x = -2

x = -2 
y = -1
