Dear student According to Fleming's left hand rule , if we stretch thumb, centre finger and the middle finger of our left hand they are mutually perpendicular to each other. if the centre finger gives the direction of the current and middle finger points in the direction of magnetic field then the thumb points toward the direction of force of motion of conductor. in this case the positively charged alpha particle is in west direction which implies the direction of the current is in west and direction of magnetic force is in north so magnetic field will be upwards.
