- Today's students have to face a lot of stress.
- This is because the curriculum is vast, the number of subjects they have to study has increased and they are expected to excel at academics as well as extra-curricular activities.
- Entrance exams and competitions have increased the syllabus as the questions asked in them are different from that of the Board exams.
- Even if the child scores a very high percentage, there is no guarantee that he will get into a college and course of his choice.
- Competition is cut-throat and the child is pressurised to perform well at every stage.
- We need to save children from this unnecessary stress. For this we need to revamp of the education system.
- Professional courses can be introduced at school level, a host of combination of subjects should be made available to students apart from pure Science or pure Arts.
- More colleges with more choices of subjects, need to be made available and the hype around Board exams needs to be reduced by making the evaluation holistic based on activities throughout the year.
