2. Heat is the type of energy that is emitted from a source. It flows from a hotter body to colder body and this transfer is by thermal interactions. Example: When we place a cup of hot tea in a room it becomes cold. This happens because the heat from tea is transferred to the surrounding which is cooler than tea. Reverse happens when we place a glass of cold water which becomes warm in summers because the surrounding is warmer than the glass of water and so the glass of water absorbs heat to become warm.
3. Relation of temperature (property of the substance) and heat (energy of the substance) of a substance is as follows: Temperature of the substance is directly proportional to the heat energy unless the phase is changed.
