b) A force of 5 N gives a mass an acceleration of 8 m/, and a mass an acceleration of 24 m/. What acceleration would it give if both the masses are tied together?

(a) Here in this case 17 divisions measure 51 g-wt .
So 1 division measures 3 g-wt .
Therefore 18 g-wt is measured by 3 divisions .
