11) Encephalitis is a viral borne disease. Hence, it is caused by a virus. Very rarely it is caused by some bacteria and fungus also. It sometimes arises because of autoimmunity also. In autoimmunity body's own cell attack the other or the same cell of the body.
Encephalitis basically is an acute inflammation of the brain and result in swelling of the brain. It results in headaches, fever, and fatigue in the initial stages. In severe form, it causes fits, convulsions, and tremors.
