Plzzz explain these lines. (English literature ch friend nad flatterers) Every one that flatters thee Is no friend in misery Words are easy, like the wind; Faithful friends are hard to find. -

Dear Student,

In these lines, the poet says that we should not trust a flattering friend. This is because a flatterer is not genuine person and he or she will not stand with us when we are going through troubled times. The poet also adds that just as wind is aimless and comes from one direction and leaves through another, advice from a flatterer is also not honest and it does not help in any manner. It is very difficult to find a real friend.
