The rich get richer and the poor produce more children which condemns them to continue their sordid existence in a state of abject poverty. More children does not translate to more workers, it means more workers without any scope for employment. They end up becoming a greater burden on resources and that perpetuates the conditions of poverty. Therefore, in order to save the planet, the foremost thing that requires to be done is to brook the continuation of poverty
