Presently, cultivation of hybrid varieties of our food and vegetable crops has increases due to theft higher productivity. Still, many of our farmers are not cultivating such varieties because of some problems.

Problems associated while sowing of the seeds of hybrid varieties of crops are as follows:
• Such hybrid crops have a high input of water, chemicals and fertilizers. Hence, it is not environment friendly.
• Also, the characters in a hybrid often segregate after one generation. So, the farmer would have to purchase fresh seeds in the next cultivating season. Hence, this is an expensive method.
b) We can overcome such problems using such hybrid varieties that are formed by crossing two inbred strains. That way, the characters would not segregate easily in the next generation.
