Now, present age of B = 15x-5 yrspresent age of C = 11x-5 yrsNow, according to question :15x - 5 + 11x - 5 = 42⇒26x = 52⇒x = 5226 = 2So, present age of B = 15 × 2 - 5 = 25 yrspresent age of C = 11 × 2 - 5 = 17 yrs
