Q.2. Describe the Secret Annex in your words.         

The building that was to be Anne's home for the next two years was her father's office building. The hiding place or the secret annex was located inside this building,the door to the right of the landing in the office led to the secret annex at the back of the house. No one would have suspected that there could be so many rooms behind that door from outside. Once one has crossed a small step in front of the door,the person is inside and ahead of them would be a flight of stairs. The narrow hallway on the left opened into a room that served as the Frank family's living room and bedroom. The sisters occupied a smaller room which was the bedroom and study for them. To the right of the stairs was a windowless washroom with a link, that is there were doors placed in the toilet that led to Margot and Anne's rooms. The room on the top was surprisingly spacious and full of natural light,this contained a stove and sink serving as the kitchen and bedroom of the van Daans while the general living room,dining room and study was for everyone's use. A small side room was their son,Peter van Daan's bedroom and then there was an attic and a loft like the ones in the front part of the house.
