1. We know the envelope of different gases surrounding the earth is known as the atmosphere. It extends up to a few thousand kilometres. The pressure exerted by the weight of these gases in the atmosphere is known as atmospheric pressure. It is the force exerted on a unit area of surface by the weight of air above that surface.

Thunderstorm is a stormy form of weather characterised by frequent lightning and the sound of its thunder. The cloud type associated with thunderstorm is the cumulonimbus. This kind of weather is generally accompanied by heavy rain or hail or sometimes no precipitation at all.

(b) Wind is the continuous movement of air due to pressure difference between two area .
(c) The eye of a storm is the region where the calm weather can be found .
