Job rotation can be defined as temporary switching of job assignments.In this method, employees get to know the working of other aspects of the organisation and acquire full knowledge of all the departments. For example: an employee is appointed in one department then transferred to another department and later on to other departments. Thus, he gained a broader understanding of all the departments of the organisation.
