Q : Draw linel  and construct another line m parallel to line l at a perpendicular distance of 5 cm

This question is tricky please help me out.

Follow the given steps to construct the lines.

Step 1: Draw a line l.

Step 2: Take a point O on l.

Step 3: Taking O as centre and any convenient radius, draw an arc which cuts the line l in P and Q.

Step 4: With P and Q as centres and radius greater that OP (or OQ), draw two arcs which intersect in R.

Step 5: Join OR.

Step 6: With O as centre and radius 5 cm, mark an arc which intersects OR in S.

Step 7: With S as centre draw an arc which intersect OS in T. 

Step 8: With T as centre and radius PU (or QU), mark an arc which intersects the prrevious arc in V.

Step 9: Join SV.

Here, l || m and OS = 5 cm.
