Q. We can see over image in a mirror but not in plane glass sheet or in a piece of a wood. Why?

Its because a mirror reflects back the rays that fall on it whereas a plane glass sheet allows the whole light rays falling on it to pass through it. A mirror reflects back light rays because it is coated with silver layer on the opposite side. As Silver is the best reflector of light.
