Q. What is the difference between Interest received and interest income? And in between investing interest received and operating interest income?
Dear Student
Interest Income and Interest Received are the same things both tell us about income only.
Now
Operating Interest means the interest received due to any operating item like Interest Received from Debtors etc. This interest is included in Operating activity in cash flow statement.
However
Investing Interest is the interest received on the investments made by the company. This interest is deducted from operating activities and is shown in investing activities.
