The balanced equation for the formation of CO2 is as follows : 2CO + O2​ →​ 2CO2. ​2Volumes of CO reacts with 1 Volume of O2 to form 2 volumes of CO2 ​ So according to given condition 44 cm3 of CO was used , so the volume of CO2 formed will be also 44cm3 , because two volume of CO react to form 2 volume of CO2 and 1 volume of O2, so volume of O2 will be 44/2 = 22 cm3.
