QUESTION: Solve mod(x-1)+mod(x-2)>equal to 4. In the solution in the image, why have we taken equal to sign also along with < sign in the expression 1<equal to x<2?  Is it necessary to take equal to sign also with less than sign(1<equal to x<2) whenever we solve  such mod questions? OR IS IT becuase we have equal to sign also in the question . PLS explain this.......

Dear student
In mod questions dear we take two types of values for eg. if there is | x-1| then we take first when x<1 then also take when x> equal to 1 similarly here we have taken.
