Given that: number of dots in 1 row = 9

Number of rows = 9

So, Total number of dots in r rows = Number of dots in 1 row
Ã— Total number of row

= 9Ã—r

Hence, If number of rows = 8

Then, total number of dots in 8 rows = 9Ã—8 = 72

And,

If number of rows = 10

Then, total number of dots in 10 rows = 9Ã—10 = 90
