Rama added a piece of rock(gravel)in the boiling water.What will happen to the piee of rock(gravel)after 3 hrs?

After three hours, we will observe that the piece of rock will have settled down at the bottom in the containing having boiling water. Also, continuous heat would act as a means of mechanical weathering and break down the piece of gravel into small fragments which settle down in the container.
