Rhyme scheme is the pattern of sound that repeats after a line in a poem. It can change line by line or stanza by stanza in a poem. It may also continue for a entire poem. The rhyme scheme can be defined for a stanza or a poem.
Eg : ABAB can be a rhyme scheme for a four line stanza.
ABAB CCDD can be the rhyme scheme for a two stanza poem.
