role of tropomyosin when muscle is at rest

Dear student,
Tropomysin blocks the myosin binding site when the muscle is at rest. The tropomyosin contains a complex protein called Troponin at regular intervals. It helps the tropomyosin to block the active binding site for myosin during resting state of muscle.
