Root pressure develops due to a)passive absorption b)active absorption c) increase in transpiration d)low osmotic potential in soil., pla explain ir answer

hello Hainaa,

Root pressure develops due to Active absorption.

The water is being absorbed by the roots passively, but as a consequence of metabolic activities, an accumulation of ions takes place inside the cell, and the minerals and ions need to be transported from the soil via roots, so there is an uphill transport of ions, which needs energy giving the absorption name as active absorption and symplastic pathway.

I hope this helps you..!
