There are a number of substances that were earlier considered as vitamins. However, upon further research it was found that they do not exhibit the characteristics of vitamins. So, they were removed from the list. Vitamin B11 is one such example.
The scientific name of Vitamin B11 is pteryl-hepta-glutamic acid (PHGA; chick growth factor).
