With respect to the topic of Shifting of Air Pressure Blets, the effects of air pressure are as follows:

Air moves from a region of high pressure to low pressure. This is mainly cause by the seasonal winds like trade winds and westerlies.
​​​​​​So, if region A has high pressure than region B, air will flow from region A to region B. And this is the main cause of rain. 

Cyclones also occur when there is a high pressure over the water body and low pressure over the land.
