sodium can be cut with knife.why?

cuz it is the softest metal..

coz the metal metal bonds are weak and sodium belongs to 1A group and it belongs to soft metals.Thus because of weak weak interactions of metal bonds due to weak vanderwaal forces sodium can be cut by knife

Because it's a very malleable and very ductile metal, cutting it is very easy, you can even bite through it.
