Although we have solution for this query ,As :

Let Coordinate of given point = ( x , y )  , From given information JK is divided by this point in ratio 1 : 4

We know section formula :  x = $\frac{{\mathrm{m}}_2 x_1 + {\mathrm{m}}_1 x_2}{{\mathrm{m}}_1 + {\mathrm{m}}_2}$  and   y = $\frac{{\mathrm{m}}_2 y_1 + {\mathrm{m}}_1 y_2}{{\mathrm{m}}_1 + {\mathrm{m}}_2}$

We have coordinate J( - 2 , 4 )  and K (3 , - 1 )  and JK is divided by this point in ratio 1 : 4

So,  m₁ = 1 ,  m₂ = 4  , x₁ = - 2 , x₂ = 3 and y₁ = 4 , y₂ = - 1  , So

x = $\frac{4 \times \left(-2\right)+ 1 \times 3}{1 + 4} = \frac{- 8 + 3}{5}= \frac{- 5}{5} = \mathbf{-}\mathbf{ }\mathbf{1}$

And

y = $\frac{4 \times 4+ 1 \times \left( - 1\right)}{1 + 4} = \frac{16 - 1}{5}= \frac{15}{5} = \mathbf{3}$

So,

Coordinate of given point ( - 1 , 3 )

Therefore,
